Spring Fun in Philadelphia!

Spring has finally arrived! The season means warmer weather, outdoor events, and plenty of activities in Philly.

Here's a sample of what fun things my friends and family, and me will enjoy!

Cherry Blossom Festival (April 1-9)

Lasting nine days, this event gives visitors the opportunity to view the beautiful cherry blossoms and gardens throughout Philadelphia. Activities for all ages. FMI,

Arts and crafts and kiddie activities galore! FMI,

Manayunk StrEAT Food Festival (April 9)

Main Street in the Manayunk section of Philly closes to vehicle traffic so that folks can enjoy fabulous live music, awesome food vendors, and spectacular boutiques. FMI,

Event runs along South Street from Front to 8th. Music, dancing, food, and lots of activities for families. FMI,

Italian Market Festival (May 20-21)

You may not find "Rocky" running through South Philly's 9th Street, but year after year the edible treats keep getting better and better. Bring your appetite to the nation's oldest outdoor market. FMI,

Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival (May 20)

Visitors from all over swarm Rittenhouse Square to check out the discounts shops have to offer and sample delectable treats. FMI,

  1. Wow, what wonderful things to dive into. My spring is on hold right now, but soon, things will be jumping.

    1. After the miserable weather we had last week, it'll feel great to be outdoors! Thanks for stopping by, Vicki!

  2. Philly has a lot going on. So much enjoyment. You should be on their tourist committee.

    1. I'm always happy to give a "shout-out" to Philly! Thanks, Vonnie, for visiting!

  3. Which events are you attending? I've lined up the Master Gardener Sale, Reiki workshop and most of the retro (means only those 50 & older can remember the group) rock concerts in my locale. It's almost time for Maria's Mexican Grill to put out their outdoor dining tables. Yipee.

    1. The Phillies' home opener is always on my calendar! Thanks, for stopping by, Morgan. What rock concerts are you going to see????

  4. So ready for the opening game! I do hope we have an exciting year. The Italian festival sounds like a lot of fun!

    1. After today's Phillies' preseason game (they beat Pittsburgh, 6-3), April 3rd can't arrive fast enough! Thanks, Kim, for visiting!

  5. Sounds like a lot of fun events in Philly. I'm sure we have an equal amount around Phoenix but I'm now working, working, working. The college is looking into hiring a new math secretary. In the meantime, I've taken over the job so I have little time to do much else.

    1. In Phoenix, your Winter is like our Spring. I know how busy you are right now, and appreciate you stopping by, Marion!

  6. Yay for spring!!! I'm so excited for it too! Sounds like you'll be busy soon and having so much fun! I hope it stays beautiful for you! Hugs!

    1. Today, in Philly, the sun is shinning and it really feels like Spring. Thanks, Red, for visiting today!
