Happy Valentine's Day!

This upcoming Friday, we celebrate "Valentine's Day," a day reserved for sharing romantic -- sometimes gooey, gushy, sentiments -- with those we love.

School children often exchange Valentine cards…Even Snoopy gets Valentines (check out today’s Peanuts comic strip http://www.arcamax.com/thefunnies/peanuts/s-1466464).
I have a cousin who, for the past twenty-two years, has taken his wife to dinner where they had their first date.

If anyone has any special traditions, please feel free to share...

Whatever your plans -- whether they're a romantic dinner, watching a good romantic comedy, or just reading a good book -- have a wonderful day!

  1. Snoopy is by far my favorite cartoon, so I couldn't resist clicking on the link to see my pet receive tons of Valentine's cards.
Our wedding day so close to Valentine's Day, so Husband and I combine the two and have a lovely dinner at the restaurant were we had our wedding reception. It's a tradition we both enjoy.
    Happy Valentine's Day.

  2. Hi, Angela! Handsome and I have no traditions. There's usually a card involved and maybe some chocolate. He travels quite a bit and we have to remember any time together is special. Happy V-Day to you!

  3. We have nothing special planned. In fact, we don't really celebrate Valentine's Day. But rather, think of everyday as a day to express our love.

  4. I don't have any Valentine's traditions. :-( But in one way or another I let my family know how much I love them. ;-)

    1. You know, I asked the question but I don't have any traditions either. But, I do like seeing the decorations neighbors put in their windows. Thanks for stopping by, Jennifer!

  5. I remember trading cards as a child. My hubby and I usually spend a quite evening at home and I will make a nice dinner. He usually spoils me with a little gift,m nothing crazy just sweet. As for tradition we always got our kids a heart-shaped box of Hershey kisses.

  6. Oh, I hope you have a great Valentine's too, Angela!

We don't do much, other than eat chocolate and tell each other a bit more how much we love each other. Nothing too fancy for me.
